Mining Spec 3 Rustproofing - Industry Minimum Standard

(Spec:- BS300)

Spec BS300 is a heavy duty application of products and techniques specifically designed to ensure the protection of industrial vehicles against the harsh treatment and environmental conditions typically encountered in mining and resource sector.

 Application Procedure:

  • Remove all door trims and rubbers, tail lights, side lights, indicator lights and side panels on wagons, plenum chamber grill, plugs in rocker panels and pillars and plastic guard under front mudguard.
  • Remove all seating, floor coverings, centre console and seat belts until the interior of the vehicle is in shell form.
  • The doors cavities and door pillars are then sprayed internally with Beam Upper Body Product (ML602) rust treatment a highly advanced heavy duty wax product designed to adhere to the metal. The rocker panels and pillars are then accessed through existing holes and are carefully sprayed using high-pressure equipment, to ensure thorough coverage. Behind the headlight and grille areas and inside the bonnet & boot lid stiffeners, tailgate areas, front and rear guards, interior of chassis rails, and plenum chamber of your vehicle are also sprayed with Beam upper body rust treatment.
  • The complete under body including lower cavities of the front and rear guards, rear cavities, chassis rails and welded areas, under wheel arches, fuel tank and differential areas are then sealed with a Triple thickness coating of our exclusively formulated Bituminous Black Underbody Product UB302B. *Including fixing points for tow bars, roo/bull bars and side steps.
  • Bituminous Black Underbody Product UB302B is also sprayed over the entire cab internal floor.
  • Ultratect “Imron”  2K Teflon/Polyurethane Clearcoat is sprayed on the underside of bonnet, painted areas of the engine compartment and any alloy engine components. Ultratect "Imron" is clear, UV stable (will not go yellow) and is extremely resistant to chemical attack.
  • The vehicle is then finished by replacing all parts that were removed prior to the vehicle being protected. All drain holes are checked to ensure they are free from any residual rustproofing product. The vehicle is then cleaned off using a mild solvent to ensure that there is no over-spray on the body, trim, windows or any other exterior parts.
