GENERAL CONDITIONS
All Beam products are warranted subject to certification that they have been correctly applied by an authorised Beam Applicator in accordance with Beam procedure. The warranty is particular to the owner and vehicle for the term and subject to the conditions below. The warranty does not apply unless the consumer agrees that he or she has read the warranty, fully understands it and accepts all the context thereof. (Warranty valid only if signed).
This warranty is void:
· At the expiration of the term of the warranty.
· If the treated vehicle is not inspected and re-treated by authorised Beam Applicator within 30 days of the annual anniversary of the treatment and thereafter every year. (excluding Window Tint)
· If the treated vehicle is subjected to unreasonable owner abuse or neglect or for any other reason.
· If the vehicle leaves mainland Australia for any reason whatsoever.
· If the vehicle is modified from the manufacturers original specifications in anyway.
· If any unauthorised work occurs to the treated areas.
· If accidental contact with chemicals or collision damage has occurred and the damaged areas have not been professionally repaired and the damaged areas are not retreated by an authorised Beam Applicator within one month of repair work.
· If the vehicle (of any type) is used for special purposes in extreme conditions, for example but not limited to - beach lifeguard, Mining and Construction, Carriage of hazardous or corrosive materials or chemicals, professional fishing, subjected wholly to salt water or beach use more than l2 times annually.
WINDOW TINTING
The manufacturer warrants Beam Window Tinting against bubbling, cracking, peeling, scratch resistant (SR) coating breakdown, de lamination from glass and demetallising from the date of the original purchase when properly installed on the interior surfaces of glass by a duly authorised installer. If the film fails to comply with this warranty, the manufacturer or its distributor will replace such quantity of film as proved defective (including labour). No liability is assumed for scratching or other damage to the film caused by improper treatment or from glass breakage from any cause or any consequential damage. This warranty is void if the film is subject to abuse or improper care in particular the warranty shall not apply if the film has been subjected to mistreatment such as picking at edges, cleaning with abrasive or ammonia based products.
This warranty is not transferable.
CAR FOR YOUR TINTED GLASS
· Don’t open windows for 48 hours after installation
· Don’t clean glass during drying period, (21 days)
· To clean, spray film with soapy water and wipe off lightly with soft cloth. Don’t use abrasive cloths, brushes, powders or ammonia based cleaning materials.
· An almost invisible splice may appear on windows which require two or more sections of film. This is not a fault in the film.
· The barely visible clear border around the edges ensures that the film is properly bonded to the glass.
· A milky appearance caused by water between film and glass will disappear along with any bubbles.
· A few small “points” may remain. These are generally visible from the outside and inherent to film adhesives. These points do not affect the performance of the film.
· The silver effect caused when film is applied over the ceramic “black dots”
that surround some glass is normal and not a fault of either film or application. The performance of the film is not affected.
RUST PROTECTION (Chemical and Ultratect Treatments)
Beam warrants that should the treated vehicle corrode below window level from an internal metallised surface to the external surface capable of being treated. Beam shall repair or replace (at its discretion) the damaged area at no cost to the owner to a maximum cost of $1000 on any one claim and subject to the conditions below.
· This Warranty does not cover:-
o Rust arising from chipping or flaking paint, between pressed metal seams or wherever body mouldings come in contact with the metallised body panels (including rubberised window mouldings).
o Rusting of chrome plated trims, engine, drive train, exhaust, electrical, brake, suspension, heating or cooling systems and all fittings and fastenings associated with these as the areas cannot or should not be chemically rust proofed.
o Rust caused by Battery acid or inside vehicle load areas (i.e. utility).
o Rust due to defective workmanship and materials in the manufacturer of the vehicle, areas affected by collision damage, fire, salt water immersion or sole beach use.
RUST PROTECTION ( Electronic Rustproofing Systems)
Beam warrants that should the protected vehicle corrode from an internal metallised surface out, Beam shall repair or replace (at its discretion) the damaged area at no cost to the owner subject to a maximum cost of $1000 on any one claim and conditions below.
· This Warranty does not cover:-
o Rust arising from chipping or flaking paint or wherever body mouldings come in contact with the metallised body panels (including rubberised window mouldings).
o Rusting of chrome plated trims, engine, drive train, exhaust, electrical, brake, suspension, heating or cooling systems and all fittings and fastenings associated with these.
o Rust caused by Battery acid or inside vehicle load areas (ie utility).
o Rust due to defective workmanship and materials in the manufacturer of the vehicle, areas affected by collision damage, fire, salt water immersion or sole beach use.
· It should be noted that the brown stain (ferric oxide) that develops on and around paint chips is not rust as such and should be cleaned and repainted at the consumers earliest convenience.
PAINT PROTECTION
Beam Paint Protection Treatments are warranted to help prevent deterioration or loss of gloss to the treated areas as a result of exposure to normal weather conditions and eliminate the need to wax or polish the treated areas for the term of the warranty. If the product fails to comply with this warranty, Beam will clean or buff (at its discretion) the external painted surfaces where it can be shown to have failed including re-application of the protection treatment. provided that:
• No accidental damage, stone chipping, contact with chemicals or bore water, harsh detergent or salt brine areas, damage from car wash brushes, vandalism, scratches has occurred.
• The vehicle is reasonably maintained including regular washing and removal within 24 hours of all tree sap and bird droppings etc...
FABRIC • VINYL • LEATHER PROTECTION
Beam warrants that should the treated areas become permanently stained or soiled, Beam will clean or replace (at its discretion) the affected area.
· This Warranty does not cover:-
o Stains, soiling or damage caused by acid, dye, ink, bleaches, solvent, gum, paint, burns, tears, rips, cracking vandalism or neglect.
USED VEHICLE WARRANTIES
The provision of any used vehicle warranty will at all times be subject to a full inspection prior to approval. The Used Vehicle Warranty Term is equal to the New Vehicle Warranty Term for each treatment (shown below), LESS the age of the vehicle to be warranted. A new vehicle is deemed to become a Used Vehicle 12 months after the Build / Compliance date. No warranty is available on Beam products where a vehicle is more than 5 years old.
ANNUAL WARRANTY SERVICE
It is a condition of this warranty that all treatments (excluding Window Tinting) undergo an annual inspection and re-treatment Service by authorised Beam Applicator. A fee will be charged for each service.
